God has given us His Word to have the practical wisdom that we need.
In a world of moral chaos and confusion, the Bible gives us wisdom and knowledge, clarity and guidance, and understanding and discernment.
Proverbs is answering the questions:
What kind of world am I living in and
What does it mean to live well in God's world?
God’s Word, the Bible, gives us nuggets for life. Many of these found in the book of Proverbs.
Talking about fathers evokes different emotions in each of us and can influence both our desire to know God and our relationship with Him. Because we are created in God’s image, each of us carries certain attributes of His nature; yet none of us is a perfect reflection of Him. No father—no matter how good or how broken—is a perfect representation of God. And yet, one of the ways God reveals Himself to us is as Father. Together, we look at qualities HE has revealed about His nature that we naturally associate with a good, ideal father.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be looking at David’s rise into his kingship AND into his years as king.
Even if you don’t see ‘becoming king of a country’ as a likely future for you, stay tuned for this series, because there are powerful truths and lessons that can come from the entirety of his life.
As we study the Bible, we find that joy is an attitude and posture of the heart that God’s people adopt, independent of their circumstances.
